Z-Porn? Seriously?!

by Thomas M Malafarina

Ok. I’m sure after reading the title there are a bunch of people are wondering what sort of twisted bizarre crap is this blog is all about? Z-Porn? What in the unholy hammers of Hell is that? Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Z-Porn is my fictional concept of what could happen in a post zombie apocalyptic world. Z-Porn means the use of photos and videos of living humans having simulated sex with the undead.

Blech! That’s beyond disgusting! Now for the obvious next question; why are we even talking about this? Why would you even want to think of such a revolting concept? Ok, here’s the deal. I wanted to talk about this because it plays a role, although a minor role in all of the books in my Dead Kill zombie series. As such, I’m occasionally asked by people who look at me oddly, how and why I came up with such a twisted idea.

You see, when I initially started to write the first book in my Dead Kill series Dead Kill Book 1: The Ridge of Death I did what I do in all of my writing, I start by asking myself all sorts of questions; hundreds of them. As such, some of those questions revolved around what affect a zombie apocalypse would have on the lowest elements of our society. I thought about the worst and sickest humans alive today, the real disgusting dregs of society. (Come on, you know who you are.) Then I realized many of those same despicable individuals would still be alive after all the dust settled. And I wondered if they would change for the better or carry on as always. Needless to say, I came to the conclusion that nothing about them would change, except for the worse.

That was when the idea of Z-Porn hit me and it all fit the catastrophic event perfectly. As we all know whenever disaster strikes some less than desirable folks take advantage of the trouble for their own purposes. In my stories’ universe of 2053, 10 years after the dreaded Zombie Virus of 2043 (Z43 Virus) had struck and wiped out a large percentage of the human population, those remaining had spent the decade rebuilding civilization. Although it was nowhere near where it had been in 2043, humanity had made great strides. At least that was true among those humans who took the high road and struggled to survive and make the world a better place. However, many of the wasteoids of society had also survived and once their basic needs of food, water, clothing and shelter had been taken care of their more base needs leeched forward. Once broken, always broken.

That was the birth of a form of pornography so sick and depraved that the newly formed government declared possession or creation of such articles worthy of the death penalty. But these miscreants still craved their sick pleasures so Z-Porn flourished, although it only existed in the savage outlands between the fortified cities thought of as civilization. In the outlands those few humans who chose to reside there lived like animals without laws or morals. It was truly a Darwinian survival of the fittest type of society. And those really twisted individuals out there wanted their Z-Porn. There were plenty of city dwelling degenerates willing to risk the death sentence to provide these scumbags with the filth they craved, largely in exchange for drugs. And the drug of choice was a synthetic concoction known as Braino.

I hope this explains where this bizarre concept originated. But enough of that. (I’m only giving away so much for free) Now for some shameless self-promotion. If you want to learn more about Braino, Z-Porn or many other new and exciting zombie related concepts, you’ll have to check out my Dead Kill series; Dead Kill Book 1: The Ridge of Death, Dead Kill Book 2: The Ridge of Change and Dead Kill Book 3: The Ridge of War. They’re available at Amazon in paperback or Kindle formats. Also available on the Sunbury press website (www.SunburyPress.com).
