Before Charlie the Choo Choo #StephenKingRevisited

The plan is to reread all of Stephen King’s works in the order that they were published. Richard Chizmar of Cemetery Dance had the vision. I’m doing it because I am a writer and I want to improve my fiction. And I love Stephen King’s stories. I think there is something to be learned through this process.

You can also go back to the beginning and read Before Carrie or any of my other posts up through this one and beyond by checking out this link to the Master List of all my #StephenKingRevisited posts.

Charlie the Choo Choo was the last and strangest Stephen King book I picked up. I saw it on the list of publications, but then saw a different author’s name on it and thought I must have made a mistake. So, I didn’t buy it.

After I reread The Wastelands in The Dark Tower series, I realized this was the recreation of that story within a story. I went ahead and purchased it because King can write anything, and I’ll read it.

It has that creepy vibe that it was described to have in the novel. Children’s books all have creepy potential that many of us never truly appreciate.

So, here I am about to do a quick read through of this children’s picture book out of another world.

My next post in this series will be After Charlie the Choo Choo which will be linked on the Master List of all my Stephen King Revisited posts.
